Nun admits stealing $128K to feed gambling addiction

A Roman Catholic nun who stole from churches to support her gambling habit might have a tough time squaring up with the Big Guy. Sister Mary Anne Rapp pleaded guilty to grand larceny Monday at Orleans County Court in New York, admitting she stole $128,000 from two churches at which she'd served. Rapp has been a nun for nearly 50 years, but her misdeeds came to light during a recent audit. Not only is stealing a sin, it's also illegal: The holy high-roller faces up to six months in jail when she's sentenced in July.
